BATCH 2 May - October 2020 has arrived in all its salubrious wonder.

An immersion into an intoxicating blooming land where all is entangled in a wild love affair. It is luscious and full of invitation. As convincing as a fierce summer fling, this elixir of a thousand flowers can romance us through a time of temporary unrest.

Pleasures Unknown is a rendering of aromatics that otherwise would be lost to the siphon of pipettes. Each time we make perfume, the remaining material gets washed in perfume alcohol, added to the mother batch, and then rests. This perfume "wash" accumulates new layers each time one of my perfumes is made, creating an incredibly complex, mysterious, nuanced perfume that can never again be created. In perfumery it's often called a "millefleur")

This is Millefleur #2 (see #1 ) 

Waste not want not - as the old adage goes. Indeed, while we have what some might say is excess, I can't agree. It's something different though, for sure. It's an improvisation made of its own will. A castle made of sand. Void of my direct creative control, but consisting of the most expensive, valuable, exquisite aromatic materials in natural perfumery, it's an honoring of these materials so they are not wasted but put into the art they were meant to become. 

Poignant impermanence in the arms of uncomfortable change. 

Enjoy this olfactory 'art' as a temporary oblation to the perfume muse and her very personal whims, knowing that once it's gone, it's gone.
